In Austin's comment on my post below, she had an awesome suggestion. So in her honor, I hereby designate next Thursday, September 27th as National Pity Party Day. If you would like to join our Pity Party, table for many, post your Pity Party on your blog (or comment on mine). Reservations are required. To reserve your spot - post your website/blog address in the comment section below. This way we can be sure to visit your site next Thursday. (and if you forget to RSVP, we might take pity on you!) Austin created this awesome logo which you may feel free to appropriate and use on your blog post.

On Pity Party Day, you post on your blog your reasons for having a pity party. No self-deprecation. No justifications. No objectivity. No rationalizations. Just straight out whining. You can start with, "I'm pitiful because..." or "You should pity me because...." or my favorite "I'm whining because........". Then there is the "poor pitiful me........" No kicking into self-protection or survival mode. To quote Austin, "just lay it all out there."

AUSTIN SAYS - I think it should be serious pity if we really want it to be. I mean for real, not trying to be politically correct and stuff like that. Not trying to be a survivor for that entry. No worries that someone will think badly if we tell how we really feel about life as a survivor. I intend to let jokes aside and tell it like it is, no holds barred. September 27th y'all will hear a whole new Austin.
I agree with Austin - no "pity me because I have straight hair and I want curly" or "I really wish I could afford a 2000 square foot house instead of just 1,200". This is serious stuff folks - the bare your soul, let's get dirty.
Why did I choose Sept 27th. First, to give us time to prepare. A proper party requires preparation. And second, it's my (birthday) party, and I'll cry if I want to!!!

Hi, Enola. I'm still having trouble dealing with things on my blog. I don't really know why. If I am still like this on the 27th, can I just come over here and share with you?
but i just stopped having one man now i need to find a few more reasons to have another one (see our blog) ;)
Yep sure can Lynn
I wasn't going to sign up because in general I try to avoid holding pity parties for myself. But you know, I kind of feel like blogging about what I hate about being a survivor...
