Tell me Your Thoughts

I saw this sight on my drive into work this morning. Beautiful pink and purple sunrise with a ray of pink shining vertically down. Does anyone else see stories, thoughts and ramblings in nature? If so, then play along with this exercise.

Look at the pictures, form your own thoughts, and post them as a comment. I'm curious to see what it says to you (no fair reading anyone else's comments first).

My thoughts - one time I was praying and going through the "are you really there and listening God" littany. As I looked up, the clouds parted and a vertical ray of sunshine shot down and touched the ground. I took it as a sign that God is indeed up there listening. Whenever I see vertical rays of sunshine piercing through clouds, I am reminded that God is present. The warmth of the sun reminds me of the warmth God brings to my life. The scene this morning was a twist on that situation. With my last post I've talked a lot about changes I want to make. I've started with having a quiet time. Whether it is to pray, meditate or just sit quietly, taking 15 minutes for myself is a much-needed thing in my life. Even just one day of doing it yesterday made a world of difference in how my day played out.

Pink is the color of quiet love. You should add pink to your life when you want calm, relaxation and to neutralize disorder.

I think the pink ray coming down is God's way of telling me that he can bring that calmness to my life.

This is just me - and I didn't read your comment first so this is TOTAL PROJECTION of my own crap (and you know I'm dissociative and like the sky, right?). I saw the sun begin to rise, and then things became blurry (yes, that's me because life is rough). Nice pics. Happy New Year, Enola. I wish you all the best. You sure deserve it.

I wondered if the bluriness would affect how people saw things. The blurriness is from the car moving while I took the picture. I saw it first hand, so I didn't see it as blurry of course.
Another co-worker commented on the same site and she had taken pictures too. I may see if hers came out better. She noted that the rays had to be coming UP, not down, because the sun is coming up. So technically the rays were coming up from the horizon. Hmmm....

Honestly, the first things I thought of were "beautiful pictures, but that looks like 'way too early in the morning to be awake...." Sorry! From the sublime to the ridiculous - that's me!! :)

I totally love Kahless's thoughts!

You know what else? I just realized that the colors in these sky pics are the same as the colors in the sky on your avatar. That's kind of cool, don't you think?

Kahless - I LOVE It.

Ethereal - never noticed the similarities but that is true.
