Just busy and thinking. I have a T appt tomorrow and sure to have lots of stuff to write about then. I have a "general junk" post for tomorrow too.<BR/><BR/>Kahless - "Calendar call" is when the judge calls all the cases that could potentially be reached during a week of court. The attorneys announce whether they are ready or not, how long the case will take and any pending motions. Then the judge announces which cases will be reached and which ones will start when. Typically about 20 cases are listed, oldest to newest. If case #1 takes all week. the others are all continued to the next trial term (could be weeks or months away). If case #1 will take 3 days, then we go down the list until we find a case that will take 1-2 days. I've been #2 on the list and not been reached. I've been #16 on the list and ben called to trial. So we all get prepared for all our cases and then play the waiting game. It keeps us on our toes for sure. <BR/><BR/>Today my first case (#8 on list) settled.
